Another random thought

Why do furniture catalogs feature big ads of people laying on the ground next to the bed, or a guy sitting on the ground using his laptop next to a really cool chair. Doesn't that defeat the purpose??? Hey dumbass, buy our really cool expensive furniture that you don't need nor will you ever use. That's what I think they're trying to say.
